My friend gave me her personal size one to try. I love the convenience of it BUT it seems the coffee is steaming hot when brewed but cools off fast. Maybe it's because my Cuisinart (which I love 12 cup size) seems to brew it and my coffee stays hot for awhile. Is it my imagination???

Do you mean your Cuisinart also uses K-cups?

The basic, least expensive models of Keurig do not have adjustable temperature and are something like 186 degrees. The Platinum Keurig and the Cuisinart version of it do have adjustable temperature and my Cuisinart is set to the max of 192 degrees. I think the 2.0 Keurig also goes that hot - maybe hotter, I forget.

No it doesn't use K-cups (Cusinart) guess its my imagination because it definitely (the Kuerig) brews piping hot...maybe I just let it sit to long .. thanks. Yes, this is a great little machine!

Purchased the new mini (the recall!) and thought the same thing. Too hot for me to drink during the week since I drink my coffee as I get ready for work. Back it went because of recall and I did not get a replacement.

It's not the Keurig; it's physics.

You are using a larger amount of water with the Cuisinart, so it retains more heat and stays hotter longer.

I'm debating whether to keep the one I ordered but haven't even opened.

Hi, Kachina624,

Is your personal brewer on the recall list?

We ordered the K-10 (the pretty teal color)on Dec. 10, and it is not on the recall list.

If I remember right, the serial number is on a sticker on the bottom of the box, and you can check it with the recall list, or go on-line and put in the serial number to see if it is recalled. miniplusbrewer.com

We are so happy with our purchase. We have a personal brewer that is 5 years old and still working great. We take it with us when traveling, and we just thought it was time to get a new machine. The new one works great, is quicker than our old model, and I like being able to make a little larger cup of coffee. I think it may brew a hotter cup than the old machine, but I never did a comparison test, lol.

We also have a cuisinart single serve brewer, which we love. But, we had an issue recently and it was still under warranty. What I like about this brewer is that it has a 3 year warranty. We used that machine soooo many times during the day. So, over 2 1/2 years it really got a workout. One day it would not stop brewing. So I turned it off for a while, and then turned in on again and it continued to brew. The water would not stop coming out.

So, we recently got our Cuisinart replacement, and we are very happy with that one too.

I ordered the last TSV also in teal. I haven't opened the brown cardboard box thinking I'd do a "return to sender" if I decide to send it back. I like one big cup; I think my cup is 12-15 oz. I've been drinking instant and not being a huge coffee connoisseur, have been quite satisfied. Not sure if I want to invest time and effort into buying K-cups. Thanks so much for all the info.
