topic Chickenbutt a la King! in Kitchen

I needed a fast but comforting meal from a leftover roast chicken tonight so, thinking of my buddy Chickenbutt and one of today'a threads, I ferreted out a can of Cream of Celery Soup (the "healthy" one) and took the breasts off the roast chicken. I sauteed a big skillet of fresh mushrooms in a good pat of butter, added some fresh home-grown garlic, and let this caramelize.

I added big bite-sized chunks of chicken breast, the CAN OF SOUP, and a goodly splash of Vermouth (a la Julia!) and about half a can or so of homemade chicken broth. I put in a few frozen green peas, let it heat up and come to a bubble and served it over toast (rice or noodles would take too long).

My husband gave it rave reviews! SO, we have a new dish: Chickenbutt a la King! Thanks for being my inspiration CB!!!!
