Unfortunately, this will not be the last word on this subject---but I, for the life of me, can't imagine buying anything that has been pulled off the shelf and has killed so many people just because a company "says" theirs is just fine!! Really??

Last word on "Prindables"?

OK here is my two cents. It's great we live in a country where we can be informed about the safety of a product, either food or non food. It is also a "Free Country", while it hasn't been confirmed what the source of the Listeria is (ingredient in question), it is really up to each individual whether they feel safe in consuming these apples, not the people on this forum. If you feel Prindables are safe then by all means eat them, if you do not then don't eat them or give them to others to eat. But to keep the trust of their customer's I do think that QVC/Prindables should give people refunds if they choose to request them, if they do not and there was a problem with these apples it would be business suicide. (Remember J&J pulling all Tylenol of the shelves, the trust they gained out of that far out weighed any money lost on pulling their product.)

Some products are deemed unsafe because of ingredients that companies knowing use that are then questioned, others because of outside sources.
