      <description>I had read a "taste test" article, but I don't remember if it was in Consumer Report or if it was AOL, they had picked Barilla as the best. I really do agree, but Trader Joe's is just as good, IMO.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I don't like the sweetness in a lot of bottled sauces, nor the starchy texture (some use modified food starch to thicken.) I use Don Pepino, which is a canned sauce and mostly made of San Marzano tomatoes. I add anything I need to it, but it's very fresh tasting and tastes "tomato-ey." A friend turned me onto this and it's all I use now. It comes in a yellow can, either large (the marinara) or small (pizza sauce) but they are about the same. &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I like Classico's Spicy Tomato and Basil, then I usually add some mushrooms, black olives, and some extra seasoning to it.   Another really good store brand is Mezzetta's Napa Valley Bistro Homemade Style Marinara Sauce, and also their Artichoke Parmesan Marinara.  They have the right amount of seasonings and aren't too sweet.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I usually buy spaghetti sauce in cans -- usually Hunt's -- and punch it up by simmering with a little sugar, herbs, tabasco, garlic, and a splash of wine, plus some browned ground beef or sausage.  Delicious!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
