I am looking for some suggestions for dairy substitutions. I can handle a small amount of dairy without too much distress, such as one slice of cheese on a burger but much more than that is a problem.

I have used soy milk for years and love it so anything that calls for straight up milk is not a problem as I just use the soy. What I would love to have some alternatives for are recipes that call for sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, yogurt, etc. It is usually things that give thickness and I don't know what I can use in place of those items.

I am enjoying a new Vitamix machine so most of the recipes I am trying to adapt right now are for smoothies, soups, or dips/spreads.

Any suggestions?

TIA!
Blue
