Didn't look. I like the look of Le C, just have always known to justify either price, I'd have to take cooking lessons almost forever.

That's a huge difference, so if they're really selling the same item, I'd be buying WS for sure.

After I posted I went looking on the WS site - couldn't find exactly what OP could have been comparing. Then again, I don't get the WS catalogs because I just think generally what they sell is way over what I'm willing to spend even if something is a good deal for some particular item.

Last time I shopped big there was for a wedding gift which was on the couple's registry. I didn't mind spending big because I wasn't paying to fly to Hawaii for their wedding. That was three children back!

Without item numbers, it is impossible to comment on the specific pot, but I think, generally speaking, the prices here are higher.

QVC has offered a French oven, billing it as "deep" and currently available only on QVC and the LC website (the latter at a higher price). While this may be true for this particular size, multiple other retailers offered similar sizes (both 1/2 quart larger and smaller) for significantly less (more than $60 less). QVC did offer a book and spatula, but these "extras" are not worth the added price.

Like so many other items, the products are usually higher here, but people tend to shop hwere for Easy Pay rather than actual value or convenience.

Try Ebay. I notice WS has a 4 qt Staub casserole for 99.00. I'm tempted because the interior is black. The white interiors totally turn me off, there is no way they won't discolor.

Most of my LC have kind of an ecru color interior and I've never had one iota of discoloration on them. They clean very easily, even if they've been in the oven for hours and look like the inside is kind of burnt looking above the liquid line. It comes right out and they are never discolored.

OK I just called my local TJMaxx to check on the price...I was mistaken the prices are $149.99 and $159.99...sorry for the misinformation but it seems like this is still a really good price. I was told the sizes were 22 and 23 inches (sorry I don't know what that means) and they colors were burnt orange, burgundy and blue, hth

ETA: $149.99 is for a 5.6QT pot with lid

I just compared a few items on ""Sur La Table"" black Friday deals and the main difference is only in shipping. QVC charges shipping on a number of its items and other retailers don't. That generally shaves $10 - $15 off the total price.

You have to make sure you are comparing the EXACT same size.
