Tried the pumpkin one first, and more recently the almond. I much preferred the almond. And yes, the brand that TJs carries is O&H. And definitely one of the traditional Kringle bakers, from what I understsnd. Worth trying out if you have a TJs near you.

Why is it so hard for others to understand that not everyone has a Trader Joe's, or for that matter, any type of high end grocery store near them. Also, how simple this is to buy an unexpected gift delivered to a loved one. Some feel its worth the value.

I don't think anyone was belittling the choice or ability of some to purchase here or locally; i think the issue the OP had is the price that the Q decides to sell the kringles.

If you choose to purchase it and you don't mind paying that amount, then it really doesn't matter what anyone thinks, no?

It is a rather inflated price, though, in my opinion.

I am glad if you ladies are enjoying the Trader Joe's Kringles. Wish I did because the cost savings IS substantial.

Trader Joe's does NOT publish where the products originate from. Only that they 'distribute' it. The FDA does not require them to do so...even from foreign destinations. The problem w/ Trader Joe's is that you have NO idea where it is made. This has been a topic of a previous thread. They refuse to divulge where the item comes from.

I have purchased the Pumpkin Kringle from Trader Joe's. It is delicious. The Q prices on some of their food items is quite high, IMO. That doesn't mean if you like some of their items you can't buy them. The OP was just stating the difference in price. Will go back and get the Almond one too. I did ask where they are from and TJ's told me Racine. There is also a OH dutch bakery in Racine, Wisconsin and they too sell Kringles. Have had theirs too.

I live in the kringle capital of Racine, WI! O&H Bakery here in Racine has the best kringles, other brands do not compare. My daughter lives in Denver and she said Trader Joe's does sell O&H kringle she actually sent me a picture and was thrilled to get them. O&H has a website that you can order kringle but I think the shipping can be quite high.

I bought one at TJ yesterday and brought it visit a friend. It was better than the pumpkin. It was pretty big. I plan to buy another - cut it in thirds- freeze some and eat some. Too tempting to just leave it out beckoning to me. It will be shoved in the back of the freezer (harder to reach lol
