White or Dark Meat?

So what's your favorite...white, dark, either, or are you just not a turkey fan?

We're dark meat lovers in my family and not all that fond of turkey, so we just buy chicken legs and thighs and a ham. How about you?

DH and I make Thanksgiving dinner for our families at our house. We both only eat white meat so we make 2 boneless turkey breasts. We get them at Costco. They are really delicious. There's no waste and they are very inexpensive.

I love turkey as long as it's not dry. I used to like only white meat but now I prefer the dark meat, particularly the thigh meat. I like both white and dark, but if I had to choose I would take the dark meat.

I'm definitely a white meat kinda gal. And I absolutely love turkey! I eat it year round. I buy turkey breast & chicken breast. I like ham but can't remember the last time I bought any.

I like both. I have a lot of chef friends and they are all into dark meat. They are right it is more flavorful and moist but I like white meat too. Now that I think of it all the tv chefs seem to prefer dark meat too.

love turkey, particularly the white meat. after the bones are picked over and/or everyone is tired of the meat, i make a barley soup after simmering the entire carcass.

White meat! When we have leftovers, we mix the white and dark for noodles or sandwiches. We don't waste it.

some of the leftover dark meat gets made into pulled turkey.....and i usually freeze some of it for an easy dinner on another night.

i also use dark meat for turkey noodle soup, barley soup, or turkey vegetable soup.

I buy a 20 lb. turkey for 2 people. We love turkey.

We start out with carved on Thanksgiving and have turkey for a week. I really like the dark meat when I do dumplings.

Last year for the first time we have Thanksgiving sandwich leftovers meaning a little of everything was part of the sandwich. Sweet potato, dressing, turkey, cranberry sauce, mash potato cake and gravy. I think I liked that almost as much as the first turkey serving
