Mary Beth talked about these with Chris Pine. I'll need to see if it's in MBR's recipes. I've never heard of these before. No I didn't find them. Does anyone have a recipe or can tell me what these are?

Is this what you're referring to? It comes in chocolate and snickerdoodle flavors.

The snickerdoodle flavor is chex dusted with cinnamon and sugar. I have a recipe for something between a candy and a cookie made with these, if I can find it. They're delicious - I could eat a whole bag!

Before these came out ready-to-eat, I made them with chex cereal, melted semi-sweet bits mixed with peanut butter, and frosted with confectioner's sugar. They were my sons' favorite!

The one I posted above also calls for 1/4 cp. margarine (or butter). I will have to check my recipe at home. I haven't made it since last Super Bowl, but for some reason I don't recall the butter with the peanut butter. Also, my daughter and I make it together, so that may be why I am fuzzy--between the two of us measuring ingredients.

I love it when something good, makes me come out like the Kitchen Queen.

The recipe is usually on the box of Chex, along with a lot of the usual Chex Mix recipes.

As rat2e said, these should come with a warning label, they are so good!

Gloria

Bugle corn chips have come out with their version too. Pretty good and not as expensive as a bag of the Chex. Love them but they are pretty small bags for close to $4.00 here.

On 10/29/2014 qualitygal said:
kittymomNC. Got it and I'm sure to be Kitchen Queen with those. Thank you so much!!! Ohh they look sinfully good! LOL

The thing I forgot to mention, which is a very important "thing", is that the Snickerdoodle flavor this calls for came out last holiday season in the grocery stores as a seasonal thing in the regular size larger bags, about 10.5 oz. I could only find them on Amazon in that size bag for a long time, and I haven't checked lately. However, a lot of convenience stores carry them in the bag I pictured in my first post, which is 4.5 oz for about $3.00. I haven't made them since last winter when they still had some of the larger bags available (they were a turquoise color), so it might be kind of expensive to make. I'm hoping they will come back with the larger bags in the grocery stores, which were much more reasonable. I haven't checked to see if they have them now.

They do still have the larger bags of the chocolate flavor, so I think this recipe would probably taste good with those as well, or on the Chex website, I think there are recipes to make the ones using Chex cereal and cinnamon and powdered sugar.

Sorry about leaving out that important bit of information.

Store in airtight container

It goes by so many names: Muddy Buddies, Monkey Munch (or Crunch), Puppy Chow...

Most call for 1 teasp. of vanilla.

This sounds really good -- I could eat a lot of that kind of "puppy chow"!
