I also like Dr. Oz's recipe for energy bars:

1 cup quick oats

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1/3 cup dried cherries (I use cranberries)

3 TBSP honey

1 tsp vanilla

Mix all together and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting.

Does anyone have a recipe for protein bars that are high in protein and fiber and low carb? I've googled it and did not find what I'm looking for. Thanks

I bought a book called Power Hungry (The ultimate energy bar cookbook) and they have dozens of power bars. I don't know what would fit you and your family but there are lots of choices and variations of the choices. I don't know what I paid for the book but I got it from Amazon. Good luck.

I don't know how low in carbs protein bars can be. They are usually sweet and have some sort of oats or grains to bind them. I just snack on a small portion of nuts and maybe an apple.

For ME personally protein bars would not be the way to go. It seems to have too many calories and too many carbs. And some taste so good I doubt I would know when to quit.

I do like the KIND bars but I snip off a very small slice and taste it. One bar lasts me a long time.
