Just Rec'd my 6QT Cooks Companion Cast Iron Dutch Oven (ShopHQ)

Pleasantly surprised! If I hadn't known the brand I would be sure it was a LeCrueset.

It has all the same properties (from what I can see w/o cooking with it yet) as my other pieces at 1/3 the price. It was a OTO ... free s/h and I'm going to try it out tomorrow with a nice pot roast.

Hope it meets my standard of the LeCrueset.

(Its definitely heavy!!!)

China same as the Technique ones I have which I use constantly with no problems.

Is there an issue that you ask?

Just at Sams yesterday and they had a Tramontia (sp) 6.5 qt. enameled cast iron for $39.99.

My sister just got a Lodge Dutch Oven recently. It's very comparable to LeCreuset, and made in the USA. It's pretty nice.

I plan to purchase a Lodge dutch oven in the near future.. The reviews say that it is as good as Le Creuset. And it's made in the USA.
