Creme brulee or flan. Also, one of my.favorite restaurants makes a delicious HUGE cream puff with whipped cream and custard inside, and lots of chocolate outside.

I LOVE white cake with white frosting (not yellow cake, but white like the old Jiffy). In fact, I rarely eat or crave sweets but love cake. Luckily cake is not often available and is considered more of a special occasion dessert (or I'd weigh a lot more).

doglover3, what is funny cake? That is something I'm not familiar with. My favorite dessert would be my grandma's Polish sour cream topped cheesecake or deep dark layered chocolate pound cake filled with chocolate cream and raspberries covered in bittersweet icing!

A good creme brûlée. Banana cream pie, French apple tart, tiramisu. But isomething definitely something thick and heavy in chocolate when I was having obe of those days.

FUNNY CAKE(MY Grams, almost 100 years old and an old PA Dutch recipe) 2 LG CAKES 2=10" GLASS PYREX PIE PLATES

3/4 C BUTTER ROOM TEMP
3 EGGS
3 SUGAR
3 FLOUR
1/2 TSP SALT
3 TSP BAKING PWD
1 1/2 C MILK
1 TBSP VANILLA

CREAM BUTTER AND SUGAR AND ADD EGGS ONE AT A TIME. ADD DRY INGREDIENTS ALTERNATELY WITH MILK TILL SMOOTH. ADD VANILLA LAST.

PLACE TWO PREPARED, RAW, NOT BAKED ( I USE PILLSBURY REFRIGERATED ONES) PIE SHELLS IN THE 2 -10'' GLASS DEEP PYREX PIE PLATES AND POUR HERSHEY'S CHOCOLATE SYRUP TO JUST COVER THE BOTTOM OF THE CRUST( DON'T PUT TOO MUCH OR IT WILL RUN OVER IN THE OVEN).

POUR BATTER EVENLY AROUND COVERING ALL THE CHOCOLATE AND FILLING PAN BAKE 375 FOR ABOUT 1 HOUR OR TILL CAKE TESTS DONE.

LET COOL THAN KEEP COVERED WITH ALUMINUM FOIL OR FREEZE ONE AS I DO. THIS FREEZES VERY WELL

This is a very very good recipe and is one that is always requested. This makes 2 huge cakes and the funny part is it is made in a pie crust. This does freeze very well which I have to do or we eat both cakes.

Sorry for the caps but is the way I have it written from sending to a friend that needs caps.

okaywitheasypay, when we got back from England I HAD to learn how to make it. Googled and tried many recipes til I got it down right. Trial & error.

I make it at least 5 times a year. SOOOOOO easy too!
