String cheese, almonds. Greek yogurt. Kind bars. Eggs, meat and cheese are zero carb, but not much else is extremely low carb. The American Diabetes Assoc. is okay with snacks 15 grams of carbs or less. Learn to read labels all the time. Foods high in fiber can counterbalance/lessen the impact of carbs. <A href="http://www.diabetes.org/food-and-fitness/food/what-can-i-eat/food-tips/snacks.html" target="_blank">http://www.diabetes.org/food-and-fitness/food/what-can-i-eat/food-tips/snacks.html</A>

Yep anything that has,a good amount of fiber will help absorb sugar. Things in the berry category are good for this. Unfortunately things like cheese can be high in fat and that doesn't help with losing weight.

Cheese, sugar-free jello cups, and Atkins barscandies etc. are all excellent choices. I've lost 85 lbs by changing my diet to low-carb. These remain my favorite snacks.
