Is there something I don't know about regarding the non-stick feature of the bakeware? I have baked a couple of different things i.e. a crustless quiche, a baked pasta dish, and tonight a banana bread that won't come out of the pan when I turn it over? Am I still supposed to spray or grease? Thanks!

Regardless of the sales pitch, you really need to use oil or nonstick spray; otherwise, your food will stick.

I use Pam baking spray in all my temptations or Pyrex/stoneware etc Even though during Tara's demos she says ""naturally non-stick"" if you look closely when she pops out those baked items you can clearly tell they've been greased/sprayed with something.

Just a thought: let the dish cool a bit, before you try to extract it, if you are not already. The racks work well to that end.

I always butter/flour the pan, or use a spray, regardless of what the sales pitch is. I haven't had any issues.

On 10/12/2014 Sweetbay magnolia said:
Just a thought: let the dish cool a bit, before you try to extract it, if you are not already. The racks work well to that end.

Good advice! I do this but I also will butter/flour or use a spray as a few of the other posters have mentioned! Ceramics are naturally nonstick but I don't know of anything that eventually doesn't start to stick. I have bake pound cakes, muffins, etc. in my TT before & not have them stick but as a rule I will use something to help out. Never had a problem with my casserole dishes!

I'm new to TT and found all my TT sticks! I have a few pcs. As I read I will use bakeware spray.

disappointing that Tara claims TT comes out clean. yep maybe after the spray. love my new muffin pan.

Those demos on TV are rather misleading, as most everyone seems to need to butter, grease or spray before baking. If I have something that I absolutely need to turn out of the pan without damage or sticking, I still use a good quality nonstick metal pan and parchment paper. Best brand of metal non stick I have found is USA Pan, made in America.

A crustless quiche? Banana bread? Think about it. When the ingredients heat up, they will stick to anything…eggs and baked bananas. They probably tile roofs using a combination of those two things. It's not the dish, the pan, nor the rooftop for it sticking. Just put a bit of olive oil all over before pouring in the ingredients.

I don't think you are doing anything wrong, either. The problem is that they preach this 'nonstick' thing about the products and that misleads a lot of people. It's not a nonstick surface at all, so I'd just do what the others do.

I don't use this line of products, but I would imagine that even with this stuff you could 'grease and flour' it or spray it with that stuff in the can, like anything else, and that would make a big difference.

I've had the same problem with sticking. Always use cooking spray now. Don't know why QVC doesn't call Tara on it. It's false advertising.
