Porcelain enamel on what? Oops, didn't notice item number. This is on plain old aluminum, not hard anodized aluminum. They also are counting utensils as pieces, something the competition used to do. I always respected QVC because they didn't do this. Personally I won't buy plain aluminum, its the same stuff at the mart stores at a higher price. Please bring us hard anodized or stainless. But if you are really into color, they do have some fabulous choices.

I ordered the Emeril All Clad Hard Anodized set when on clearance! these are the best I've ever had too bad they r sold out or I would have ordered another set for gift for bridal shower. not happy with CE since they changed over to these colored interiors scratch easily and thin exterior.

Usually what they now call 'porcelain enamel' cookware is what they used to call 'hardcoat enamel' cookware.

This is the cheapest (read-less durable and s/b pretty cheap but probably isn't) cookware you can purchase and I wouldn't touch it, personally. It is just aluminum cookware that is coated in porcelain enamel.

The only way to go with aluminum is Hard Anodized. THAT would be a much better combination of even heat conduction and durability.

I don't do much cooking these days but do enjoy using my induction burner when I do. A couple nights ago they had a cheap Mark Charles Misilli set that had the induction bottom, on clearance for $59., perfect for my purpose. It was good looking too in copper.

I have purchased 3 sets of the CE cookware, but it was the hardcoat enamel . I used medium heat, never put in dishwasher and never used metal utensils. Loved the light weight cookware and easy to cook and clean but never lasted longer than two years. Tried to get replacement products and was told had to write corporate etc. Learned my lesson and no longer purchase anything made by CE.

I've had similar sets from CE in the past, and they don't last. They are rather thin (more so all the time), the nonstick does eventually fail, and the outsides don't stay nice very long.

I'm not impressed with their lifetime warranty. You have to pay to ship back, they never have exactly what you need replaced, and they substitute, so you no longer have a complete matching set of pans.

I've had various types of CE, and they are as throw away as any other brand of nonstick cookware. Mine last for a number of years with careful use and washing by hand, but they still fail and need replaced.
