This is so tempting. I like to comparison shop and found that Walmart and Sams plus Amazon and lots of other places sell these. Not sure we'd need all these added things such as a rib rack and others that the TSV has. Just more stuff to store. But do like the features, but again, these can be found other places. Just not sure this extra stuff is worth the money and the problem of having to send it back if there's a problem. That is if one can be purchased locally. Has anyone bought one elsewhere with these features such as the large window and remote control?

I never saw them show how to clean it while I was watching the one episode today. If this have been discussed, sorry for the repeat of asking how easy it is to clean? That's important to me due to age and back issues.

Our 56 anniversary is coming up in Nov and seems like a good gift to get and this thing looks great for cooking lots of meats, packaging and freezing for later use. Save lots of time if the meat would keep well. We do have a food saver so it should keep quite well I would think. Does anyone have any ideas on these things? Appreciate any help on deciding what to do. I know it has to be our decision, but other's ideas help too. Thanks. GD

I know I am repeating myself but there is almost no clean up! The professional's say to let the ""bark"" build up to get the best flavor. Clean racks and drip tray only. I don't get the glass door? We enjoy ours. Using different wood chips imparts a different flavor to your food. Fun to try all kinds. Sonnie

I mainly just use mesquite and hickory chips. Tried apple one time and didn't like it at all. Got a cheap smoker, but, you have to open a door to restock the wood all the time, not as handy as this one will be. my cheap one you have to fill up the water bowl too.

The only cleanup I do is the water pan and food racks. Soak them in warm soapy water and they clean up real good. Don't have the glass door so can't comment on that. But I don't clean the interior. In my opinion, that adds to the taste of the food.
