I have just purchased a ceramic top electric stove and my current cookware just doesn't seem to work well on it. I need some help!! Can anyone tell what they have purchased from QVC or Costco that works well on these stoves. I noticed that on the 23rd there is a cook show so I am supposing the TSV will be a cookware set by cooks essentials or someone but actually I would just like to know of a good cookware set--I love dishwasher safe and non-stick also if possible. Can someone teach this old dog new tricks with a good set of cookware to use on these stoves. Thanks!!

I bought a set of Wearever Stainless cookware from Walmart, they work great on my glass cook top.

Whatever set you buy make sure the bottoms are smooth.

I have a glass top stove top that I love and use whatever cookware I have on it with no problem. Just have to remember not to drop anything on it. I use cast iron , stainless steel, even corning ware and hard anodized very successfully.

I thought these cook tops were suppose to do this but not sure but then again maybe its cause its not a flat bottom pan---maybe someone can answer that too--??

All you need is for pans to have evenly flat bottoms. I used all my regular cookware, Le Creuset, bare cast iron & All-Clad on my ceramic top. Although I hated it and I'm so glad I have gas again.

I do not have a ceramic top stove. As mentioned by others, I understand that the bottoms of the pans need to be perfectly flat.

You mentioned Costco, and I wanted to mention that I have a set of 18/10 stainless Kirkland cookware from Costco. The description on the website states that these can be used on all cook tops. My set is years old, and I notice that the newer set is a little different than mine. But, with the quality of my set, and knowing how Costco stands behind their products, I think it is certainly worth looking at.

When I got my ceramic stove I did my homework. Best recommended cookware for this is either stainless steel or hard anodized.

I have a glass top stove on which I use my old cookware. I must confess, however, that I mostly use my induction burner which is sitting on the stove. I love that thing; wish I could afford an all-induction stove top.

I have had ceramic top stove for 25-years. I use flat bottom stainless steel cookware. Mine is white and instructions said not to use colored (enamel) cookware on it.

I bought a new glass top range about three weeks ago. I'm really liking it. Especially the double ovens.

This is from their user manual:

The heating elements appear to be turning on and off. This cycling process maintains your chosen heat setting and will occur continuously while you are cooking. This is normal operation.

Types of pots or pans not to use: painted/enameled bottom pans are not recommended. Also, stoneware and cast iron pots and pans can create scratches on the glass surface. Pans with rounded, curved, ridged or warped bottoms are not recommended.

I bought some Calphalon pans at TJMaxx, and my older Farberware work just fine.

I do want to bottle some tomatoes, but I don't want to use my canner on the cooktop. I'm not sure how to handle that situation yet.

I like ceramic cookware the best. I believe its perfectly flat at the bottom and food doesn't burn in it as easily as in stainless or teflon. Also easy maintenance.

We bought an electric ceramic flat top stove also. I read my instructions and I specifically remember it said not to use porcelain cookware on it. That stuck out to me because I had several porcelain frying pans and I gave them to my SIL.
