Crazy Keurig Question

I feel foolish asking this, but.....should your Keurig be "on" all the time? Day and night? We each have one cup in the morning, then shut it off till the next morning. However, I took daily care of my son's pets when he was on vacation and noticed that he had left his Keurig on. Of course I shut it off, thinking of all the wasted energy consumption. When he returned, he said he thought they were supposed to be left on all the time. Do any of you have any thoughts on this?

I'm not sure it matters, but I do turn mine totally off if I leave town. Mine is on a timer also. I set it from 3:30 to 8:30. If I want a foo foo drink later on, I just turn it off and on.

I have mine set to turn on in the morning and turn off 3 hours later,

spouse tells me it costs .25 cents / day to run, make of that what you will

I never turn mine off.

My husband left the television on for a whole week
while we were in Las Vegas! So I guess I'm not the one to ask!

I have my turn off automatically at 10:00am and turn back on at 5:30 am. I rarely have to turn It back on to make coffee.
