I know this has been discussed in the past, but I am looking for current opinions. I am thinking of buying a four-door fridge- the one with the extra drawer above the freezer. For those who have one- do you really love it?

Also, I have other white appliances that I don't need to replace just yet. Do you think stainless has become a classic, or will it go out of style in the next few years?

We bought a Samsung 4-door French fridge with ice and water in the door and we love it. We had a side-by-side prior and I hated that thing because it wasn't roomy enough. For the first time in a long time, I finally have enough room for all the food, even when I do larger dinners and picnics. That drawer above the freezer has been a god-send. It holds bottles of wine, it holds beer and soda, it holds large appy trays and large sheet cakes.

Ours is stainless as are all our appliances. I know stainless isn't for everybody....too cold, too dreary, too whatever. But we like it.

I love this fridge!

I have the Whirlpool French Four Door. I love that when both doors are open, I can see everything front to back. My only problem with this design is in the drawer below the the French doors. It takes up room I would have rather had in the freezer section. ETA: I went with the SS. It's very neutral & IMHO has become a classic. It all depends on the style ( & size) of your kitchen. My SIL recently remodeled her tiny kitchen with lots of wood, dark granite & white appliances. When you enter-wow- the white really jumps out at you.

I love the French Door. I hated our side by side. It was so annoying to have to constantly be juggling things around to make room. I have white appliance, Not stainless. I don't think stainless will ever go out of style. It's just personal preference.

I have a 3 door french door. I like it but I also have a separate extra large freezer. The freezer section is not that big. I like having a wide refrigerator to accommodate a cake or pizza if need be. I do have a huge drawer inside the fridge where your 4th door would be. It could fit a huge sheet cake.

I think stainless is classic. It is a total PITA though.

We have owned a Kenmore Elite French Door for years, just purchased the LG. Will use the Kenmore as our second fridge in the basement. Just purchased a new home and the kitchen had all Stainless Steel. Love the French Door wouldn't buy any other kind. I think Stainless will be around for a long time. It already has been around for quite some time. That being said it really isn't my preference but we didn't want to replace all the other appliances and I actually am starting to like it more than I thought. Anyway I think you would love the French Door and also we got the one with the door within a door and we love it. Check it out. The one door is double so you can open part of it without exposing the whole fridge.

I love my Stainless Steel French door fridge with three doors. But we also have an extra freezer. The french doors take up less space to open since a single door has to have more swing room to open. We also got a counter depth to take up less space in our small kitchen and even though it is smaller than normal it is plenty of space for us normally.

In the past I've had the old style freezer on top in almond and the side by side in almond. I much prefer the French door and stainless. The best thing is that nobody can put magnets on it so it stays nice looking and not junked up. And it's very easy to keep clean if you use only microfiber and no cleaner or polishes on it. Once you use anything like that you get a buildup that can make streaks and is hard to remove. White vinegar cleans it really well and you can then just dry it with a dry microfiber cloth. Mine usually looks like new at all times and we've had it for at least three maybe four years.

The only thing I would do differently is NOT get the ice/water in the door. There just isn't enough ice. Our daughter has one with the ice maker in the bottom freezer and they have a TON of ice. Plus the ice maker always ""spits"" some pieces of ice out and that drives me crazy.

We do not keep enough frozen foods in stock to warrant such a large capacity freezer section. Side by side is fine for our use. Stainless works if it is ""smudge-free"" type.

We bought a stainless LG counter depth French door about a year ago. Before we had the side by side which still works and it's currently in the garage. It's nice having the extra fridge for stocking up on things and company.

As for the Frecnh door I love it! It's much brighter inside than the old fridge and it's not as tight trying to fit some larger items. I also like the counter depth a lot too since it doesn't stick way out beyond the cabinets like the standard size does....yet it's still a huge refridgerator!

I thing that stainless is now considered as neutral as white..it goes with all colors and style of kitchens. I think it's here to stay for a pretty long time!
