The vine pretty much grows on it's own, I just prune it occasionally. It's very hardy. We eat the grapes, share some, and I make juice and sometimes jelly. Right now I'm sharing with a bluejay who is sampling grapes as the get a little on the ripe side. Do the Thomcord grapes have seeds? Oops, I see you said they are seedless.

I picked these up from Trader Joes. I always like to pick up a variety or hybrid of something new.

These are tiny grapes on a stem and seedless. They are dark purple and taste lie a cross between grapes and blueberries. DH actually thought they were blueberries.

I haven't seen these at the farmers market or the chains. The next time you are picking up Cookie Butter Ice Cream, give these a try!

I like trying new things too and those sound interesting. I have a concord grape vine that is growing along a porch railing. It's fun to sit on the porch and watch the grapes slowly ripen.

HonnyBrown, I have a juice steamer to make the juice. I can fill it with about a full white plastic shopping bag of grapes. I guess from that I get about 3 quarts of juice. I did some checking on the Thomcord and it is not restricted for propagation or distribution. I might be able to track down a plant. Apparently UC Davis grows them and they have plant sales but maybe a nursery in that area would have them. We go to that UC monthly now, to the veterinary side, for treatment for one of our dogs. Small world!

I have a question. I bought this simple device that removes cherry stones. Do you think it could be used to remove grape seeds? I love Concords, and another favorite is Muscadine. One of my simple pleasures is a nice bowl of grapes paired with a really good sharp cheddar. Poodlepet

Well, today I had errands to do and TJ's was on the way so I had to make a stop. They had the Thomcords so I was snacking before leaving the lot. They are good and I agree with Vabreeze that the skins are a just a bit tough but they have the wonderful Concord flavor, on the mild side. Great grape! HonnyBrown, I'll be looking into picking one up but I'm thinking they might be available closer to next spring, new crop etc. Thanks for the information, great find.
