topic 2 Piece Cake Pan - leakage question in Kitchen

I recently purchase a 2 piece cake pan. I don't know the correct name for it. You use it for Chiffon and Angelfood cakes. Whenever I bake a cake, some batter seeps underneath and a drop or two to to underside of the pan. It crusts as baking so I'm not getting drips in the oven. Half the pan us clean when I pop out the insert and the other half has batter baked on. I bought this Wilton pan at a discount at TJMaxx. Did I get a "seconds" or do they all do that?
