https://community.qvc.com/t5/Kitchen/Cleaning-the-Solofill/m-p/17008#M461 <P>Many people have asked about how to clean the Solofill if you have a septic system and I have found that the best I can do is to follow this procedure:</P> <P>After you take it out of the C/K machine and it is cool enough to handle, simple smack the FLAT end of the intact container a time or two against a flat surface (counter top, cutting board, etc.,) and then open it over a bucket/container and hit it against the side of the bucket and the grinds should come out including those in the depression at the bottom.</P> <P>Now simple swish the almost empty Solofill vigorously in another container that is filled with water and you should be ready to refill and go.
