I am trying to learn how to bake from scratch. I made Lydia's Boston cream Cup cakes twice. They both didn't rise at all, they just spread out all over the pan. What a mess. I tested the baking powder and it bubbles after I put it in water, but not a lot. The baking soda I bought yesterday and it bubbled a lot when. I put it in vinager. I live at 7000 ft. So I put my oven up 25 degrees higher. I don't know what I am doing wrong? Box cakes seem to come out fine. I need to figure this out before I go broke buying ingredients and throwing them away.. Help.......
