Temptations Storage sets vs. Lock and Lock

I love Lock and Lock and have purchased many sets of it for myself and members of our family. However, I have Temptations bakeware, serving pieces and dinnerware so when they came out with plastic storage sets to match, we purchased some of those pieces. I found Temptations storage pieces to be very inferior to Lock and Lock. I have difficulty getting the pieces to close. Yesterday a piece fell out of my refrigerator and the contents spilled everywhere. Now only 3 of the 4 tabs will close on that piece. I noticed Temptations now has an "As Is" Temptations storage set on sale. I wonder if they are removing the storage sets. Anyone else have similar problems?

I did not purchase because even at the TSV price Temptations was more expensive than Lock and Lock.

You are 100% correct on that! That's one of the reasons I didn't purchase them either. The other reason was because during each presentation, I kept looking @ the smaller round containers. The tabs just didn't seem to be sturdy at all. Yes, I would have liked to had matching FL containers to go w/my bakeware, but after reading some of the reviews a week or so later, I was so glad I didn't get them. I've never had a problem w/Lock & Lock, so I will definitely be sticking w/them.

Look for Snapware at Walmart, BBB, online. It's made in the USA!! I found the deviled egg carrier at BBB and it was less expensive than the one made in China, then use a coupon. Many styles to chose from, some have the locking tabs closure.

L&L is so much better than the others ones I have tried, I don't bother with others now.

I have not bought any Temptations other than a few pieces for DD and since she seldom uses it, it's been okay. With all the quality problems I have read about , I have no interest in buying any more if it.

Yes--I didn't purchase either. I'm satisfied with Lock and Lock.

I never considered it myself. While I love my temptations, I'm not giving up my L&L they don't need to match.

I've never tried the Temptations storage units. Ordered Lock N Lock once. One of the three units arrived cracked beyond use and there were no replacements available, so I returned the whole set. I think they did me a huge favor - when you live alone with no family about, you truly don't need all that much. Now I just take my coupons and go to BBB and buy only what I need that day.

I used to be a big Lock and Lock fan and have many, many pieces. I'm just about done buying L&L though. The last three sets I ordered all LEAKED PROFUSELY, AND THE PLASTIC AND SEALS ARE NOT NEARLY WHAT THEY ONCE WERE!!! I returned all three sets.

I ordered a set of the Temp-tations containers, and they were actually better than those last three L&L. They are holding up just fine with daily use. They are going down in price, and I will probably order more as they clearance them out, as they match my TT, and they are better than any of the newer L&L I've had.

I love Chris P. but I don't know how she is getting on TV and being dishonest about the "air tight water tight" features that this brand just doesn't have anymore.

Same here! Love my L&L's!! I have all the sizes in "clear" and only problem I have had is one tab broke off a lid but it is still usable and never had any leak! never considered using TT version.

I've never had one L&L item leak. Not one. Oh, I've had some breakage because after all they are plastic. But overall, I have had remarkably few problems. IMO, nothing beats L&L for storage.
