Sounds like a good idea - It's $9.99 per person, though...so it would probably depend on what's important to someone...time or $$...since you could go out to dinner at some places for that amount of money. It's great if it works for people, though!

We were at a party and someone was talking about this Blue Apron program to help get nutritious meals on the table for busy folks. Unfort. no one we know has any real feedback so I thought I would try here.

I cook from scratch, healthy meals 4-5 times a week, and I would be interested in a program that could make my life a little easier during the busy months.

Anyone ever try this service or one like it?

Thanks!

Yes. It's fun. They supply every single ingredient, down to a clove of garlic, and they are all high quality. The recipes are delicious, very clear and they work. If you kinda like to cook, but not planning and shopping, it's great. Pricey, of course.

I just took a look at the web site,

they have the usual media stuff to get the info, not for me, good idea, but people aren't crazy about dealing with the icepacks/boxes that the food arrives in.

Interesting idea

I rather pay $10 a person to eat high quality food at home than $10.00+ to eat mystery ingredients at a restaurant.

I can see doing this over the winter months when I HATE stopping at the grocery store, and the ingredients will stay fresh. I do NOT trust refrig. packages in 100+ degree heat.

It's been in the 80s and 90s around here. I recently got a delivery from Blue Apron. Of course I put the food away as soon as possible, but I didn't get around to breaking down the packaging for recycling for two days. When I did, the frozen packs were STILL partially frozen. So I don't think there's any cause for concern about ordering from them in summer.
