Hands down, get the Kitchen Aid. This is a great one for the money. It's well worth the money b/c you get attachments all everything including the mixer itself fits in the SS bowl!!!

I actually bought this for my husband some years ago. He uses it all the time, loves it - this is our go-to.

Well, I just checked out the mixer you're talking about and this isn't the one I bought years ago. While mine was offered in only one color, I did get about 4 attachements AND all were tucked inside a beautiful stainless steel mixing bowl with a lid!!! LOVE this one but it's no longer offered apparently. It was less money too.

I have several hand mixers and the huge kitchen Aide bla bla bla. I use the hand mixer more than the big one. It's easy. Which one? Whichever one I can reach at the time.

They are all pretty good.

I have a little lightweight cheap GE hand mixer I got when I was married 50 years ago this September. It's made many a batch of heavy, thick cookie dough and is still going strong.

I have this one and I really like it. http://www.brevilleusa.com/the-handy-mix.html I use it all the time. I also have a Kitchenaid Artisan 9 speed with a bag and attachments. I have only used the Breville and would buy another if I had too. I have had others though I am partial to my Breville.

I'd actually recommend the Cuisinart. I got one as a present a few years ago and instantly gave away one I'd gotten from Q (a brand they no longer sell.) I like it so much, I ended up gifting other friends with it (pay it forward?) Really great attachments, so much so that I don't need a food processor for most chopping. I make a lot of soup, so it's very handy.

I have them both and I also have the Kitchen Aid 9 speed which I like the best. I use mine a lot especially at Christmas when I bake about 400 dozen cookies. The cooks essential doesn't have the lowest speeds also. If it's just between the 2 you mentioned I would pick the Kitchen Aid. I always have at least 3 so my baking isn't disrupted. I've also had a Cuisinart and it was good but not as good as the 2 you mentioned. Don't go cheap as they don't last if you use it a lot plus not enough power.

No comparison, KA! A few years ago I made the mistake of replacing my KA hand mixer that had been dropped with a different brand that was supposed to be very powerful, NOT! It was no comparison to my KA and I quickly got another 9 speed KA and gave my "new" one to a nephew for his first appartment.
