topic Cake pops maker? in Kitchen

Does anyone have a cake pops maker? My sister wants one for Christmas and the Babycakes version seems to be sold out in my area. I found another brand in Target. How do these makers work? Are they more trouble than they're worth? I don't want her to use it once and tuck it away.
