Do ever get that snack craving and only something salty will satisfy? What do you reach for? I love to spread a little cream cheese on a saltine cracker and top it with a sliced green olive. Delicious and salty enough to calm those cravings.

I don't eat processed foods & I need to be sure to use extra salt every day. If I don't I will find myself consuming mustard out of the bottle.

Lately, I like to add Himalayan Pink Salt to my guacamole. Sometimes I reach for a dill pickle.

I make ugly fries. These are basically fine green beans that have been tossed in olive oil and roasted until they are brown and crispy. They are called ugly fries because they don't look very appetizing...all shriveled and brown. But once you put salt on them, they sure are yummy! I've also deep fried them when I've been too impatient to wait for them to roast (it takes a while for them to get crispy in the oven). No coating or anything - just plop them naked into the oil and cook until crunchy.

I also like roasted chickpeas. Same idea - until crispy and add salt!

Hmmm I never get a salt craving. I gave up consuming any sodium 33 years ago while pregnant with my first. I cook and eat totally salt free and loving it! I know I've forwarded off many health issues by eating this way. Salt is an acquired taste...the more you eat the more you crave.

I have a terrible issue with potato chips. I know its from the salt. I now order Kettle Chips from Amazon in the one ounce size. One bag every couple days takes care of it for me. Otherwise I will buy a large bag at the market and consume the entire thing. An open bag is something I can't deal with. Sealed bags, OK.
