David's New Cookbook

OMG - now we will have to hear about this until July??? I am watching QVC less and less. Too much of the same old products. Too many pressure cookers, pots and pans, etc. I still like Lock and Lock Tara's knock off can take a hike - never heard a word about leak proof or won't open if dropped. Not too much worth while to even consider buying.

I have been watching the presentations and I have not seen Tara throw them on the floor like the L&L ...Chris does....I don't see Tara shake it over anyones head like Chris does...

I think they are just overpriced containers...can't even call them knockoffs as they don't do what the L&L do....they have sold a lot....the reviews will be interesting to read....

I hope Davids new book is printed in a darker color...I can't read his first one...its such a light print and so tiny...I rendered it useless...it sits on the shelf..not sure if I will spend the money for the second book....

I would have agreed with you about the Lock and Lock until recently, but the last two sets I ordered leaked terribly and had to go back. The many, many older sets of L&L I have are super air and water tight, but I think they are beginning to cheapen them.

I did give the TSV a try, as it can't be any worse than the last couple of L&L's I tried, and if they don't fit the bill, they will go back like the others.

Are we guarrented to be as slim, trim and "good looking" as David if we cook his favorite recipes? Might be a deal breaker if it is so!

I agree about the same ol' stuff. I buy much more from HSN.

Just popping in to say you're very right! When used as an adjective "everyday" is correct; when used as an adjective "every" describing a noun "day," you separate them.

I agree about the print on David's first cookbook. It was so small and light in color...I'm 50 and my eyes are still pretty good but I have to keep getting my magnifying glass out in order to read the recipes!

There are so many cookbooks out now that are nothing new but someone's name and recipes ripped right from the pages of a zillion church and community cookbooks. Pioneer Woman has made millions selling them as has David.

All David does with "his" recipes is take other's recipes and make them his own by adding cheese, bacon, butter, sugar, carbs and fat. I have heard people ask him on air to put the nutritional info in his cookbook and he looked like a deer caught in headlights. He knows that if he ever put the nutritional info of his recipes in a book people would actually see how unhealthy his food is. I guarantee you, there will be none of that information in this new book. While his foodies are fixing and eating all this unhealthy food, he is laughing all the way to the bank.

Well, not to de-rail the anti-David-cookbook feeling- but, I got David's first cookbook from the library and liked it so much that I bought it. I use it a lot. I plan on checking out the second one as well.

Same here. I do like David (liked him more before the "happy dance" and the fast speaking), but not interested in his cookbooks. I need healthier recipes, not the mac 'n cheese with bacon, etc.
