Anyone an Ina Garten fan?

I am an Ina Garten fan. She's got it all. Is she really that nice to her husband Jeffrey?

I watch Ina a lot. I think she is down to earth even w/all the money they have. And Jeffrey seems to be the same way. I like the way they talk to each other and they seem to love each other very much.

I enjoy her presentations and her soft voice. They deserve a lot of credit to have worked their way to the top. He has a PhD.

I like her too. Her voice and manner are calming. QVC hosts ought to take lessons from her. Their on-screen presence is, for the most part, anything but calming.

I like her. I have no reason to doubt she and Jeffrey have a very genuine relationship with each other. They seem very much in love.

They both seem like they have worked very hard to achieve their success.

I not only like her presentation, her recipes are great too!

I would LOVE to have her life...she even worked in the Carter White House.

She is a smart businesswoman, a great cook and a lifestyle maven.

My husband's the cook in our family, and he loves Ina and has used many of her delish recipes. We joke about what it would take to get a place in the Hamptons like Ina and Jeffrey!

I think they are the cutest couple. I think he is so adorable. They seem to really light up around each other. I find her show easy to watch.

Count me in.....her shows are, by far, the best on Food Network. I've used so many of her recipes and have never had one that didn't work out. My MIL also enjoys watching Ina and, for her birthday, I will often do a "Barefoot Contessa" meal, using only recipes from BC cookbooks. I enjoy her shows, I enjoy her calmness, I enjoy watching her cook.

Ina is my favorite on TV cook/chef. I enjoy the shows very much. All of her recipes that I have tried have turned out great. She and Jeffrey both come across as very natural. I really like that, no phoniness that I see.

She's absolutely my favorite television chef and every one of her recipes that I've made has been excellent. I usually cut back on the amount of salt, though.

Ina's adorable, & so warm & inviting. I've tried many of her recipes, & they've been delicious. Watching her show is so relaxing, & I WISH I had local shops like she has in the Hamptons.

Concerning the salt she uses....Ina's recipes call for kosher salt. Most of use use sea, or table salt- they aren't the same as kosher, so you need to adjust.

I like her, too. I find her voice very calming! My daughter calls her boring, because of her voice! I don't think so! I like her calm manner and she explains things so well. I agree that she and her husband look to have the perfect marriage! They are clearly devoted to one another.

One of my favorite recipes of hers is her Pan-Fried Onion Dip. Always a hit!

ETA that I don't use the cayenne (the regular pepper is enough for us) and I use only a little salt (regular, not Kosher).

I too like Ina. I find her very calming and I love the way that she cooks. I have made a lot of her recipes and they all were very good. I think her and Jeffrey really love each other and they both have worked very hard to get where they are today. I have several of her cookbooks and love them all.

Even using Kosher salt some of her recipes are too salty.

She has however, mentioned that there some misprints in her cookbooks regarding measurements.

AND is a self taught chef!

I mostly use flake kosher salt, still reduce the amount. It is all to your own tastes, as with most things.
