I love reading and getting new ideas from all of you! Although I usually stick with my traditional ham. scallopped potatoes and green beans, I like trying new, tried and true recipes to accompany it!

Very simple here… just four of us. We'll have ham, smashed potatoes and asparagus. Dessert will most likely be my favorite - carrot cake.

ETA: roasted carrots, of course!

Same thing as always: Marinated, grilled leg of lamb, rosemary potatoes, Greek salad, spring vegetable (probably asparagus with lemon butter), and hot rolls and butter. My kids insist on this every year.

Most of our family is on a sugar-free regimen, so I'm not sure about dessert.

Whatever the casino's convention center dining room is serving. New venue, they have worked out the kinks and put out a very nice meal. Last year they didn't do ham, but some cut of pork instead. Bet they don't make that mistake this year. Easter is Ham.

Ham and deviled eggs. Nothing else matters. LOL!

Add in mashed potatoes and gravy, cheesy carrot bake, green beans, and rolls to round it out. Probably a colorful Jello cake for dessert.

It would not be Easter without parsnips and Orange Jello with crushed pineapple & shredded carrots. Think called "Sunshine Salad". Parsnips just split, parboil and saute with a little butter.

This Easter will be one of the few Sundays that is not a no cook day. Our older daughter and older grandson are visiting and we will eat dinner at home. Ham, scalloped potatoes, peas, are probably on the menu along with maybe a coconut cream pie for dessert.

If I can get just one of those chicks done, I'll be happy. I do the devilled eggs and my 8 grandkids color eggs in my kitchen. We go to my Mom's on Saturday; there are at least 24 of us. We will marinate chicken to grill, have a ham, baked potatoes, home-made rolls and 5 salads: devilled eggs, copper pennies, seven layer salad, broccoli salad, and fruit salsa. Maybe asparagus. We will have at least three desserts: white cake with pineapple filling and seven minute icing, blackberry cobbler, and a novelty cookie of some sort.

We have scavenger Easter Egg hunts. Each team of two kids has a certain color plasic egg to find. Each egg has three puzzle pieces that go to that team's puzzle. The first team to find all their eggs and put their puzzle together gets first pick of prizes from the prize table. Prizes are fun thing like kites, glow frisbees and such. Important tip: spray paint the back of each puzzle the color of the eggs it is going in to keep the puzzles separate. Sometimes the teams get to recruit one adult helper.

On 4/8/2014 princessaurora said:

Can I come?

Easter has never been a big deal for me as far as having a big dinner, unlike Christmas. To be honest, a lot of the things that people tend to like for Easter dinner, like ham, I don't even care for. I'll be out of town working anyway, so will probably just have a sandwich or salad, but I will have what I think are the best things to eat on Easter, and that's some Cadbury's crème eggs and mini eggs. LOL, chocolate is a major food group for me!

My fam isn't fond of ham on a regular basis, and when I do it, it's potato salad, deviled eggs, green beans, glazed carrots; cantaloupe, honeydew and strawberry tray. Homemade icecream and pound cake.

My fam wants a revisit of turkey and dressing! Once isn't enough during the year! None of us eat turkey lunch meat, we only like it this way! I will add the green beans and cantaloupe. For dessert, I do a white four layer cake done with butter cream icing and strawberries between the layers. Buttercream on the sides and homemade whipped cream and strawberries on the top.
