topic French Oven in Kitchen

I was in Costco yesterday and purchased a 6.5 qt. enameled cast iron round french oven. It was made in France and cost $80.00. Now, what do I do with it! For some reason, and I don't know why, I've always wanted a nice big cooking vessel like this. Is a french oven the same as a dutch oven? I haven't looked to see if there is a recipe book with it yet, as I haven't taken it out of my car. I didn't want hubby to see it until I could explain what I was going to cook in it and justify why I bought it! I went on Google this morning, and I couldn't find much in the way of recipes. Some of the recipes were very involved. I want to start off with something basic. A lot of the recipes were for using the dutch ovens outdoors. Does anyone know of any basic recipes I could start out with (perhaps chicken)? Thanks!
