most of mine go into a lock and lock container.

it definitely keeps them fresher.

i sometimes use cheese paper bags that can be found on amazon.

I wrap in a paper towel then wrap tightly in saran wrap...but there has to be a better way. I did purchase a 'special' cloth that is coated that was supposed to keep fresh...total waste of money.

I can't remember what the name of the cloth is...almost rubbery like a coated canvas...supposedly all the rage, lol.

I have given up on that. We make a lot of home-made mostly veggie pizzas, but never use mozzarella on them. We aren't crazy about it, and find we like other cheeses better.

For snacking and on anything we mostly just use those multi-packs of small squares of cheese. And if it molds before we eat or use it, out it goes and it is what it is. We do keep a block of good white cheddar of some kind, grated parm in a jar (Kirkland is pretty good) and feta in a jar to top salads and such.

When I cut up a large block or 5# log, I'll cut it in usable portions, wrap the portions in parchment paper, vaccum seal them, and put what I won't use quickly in the feeezer. Blocks and slices in use get wrapped in parchment and then in a freezer ziploc baggie. Shredded goes in a large mason jar or glass food storage bowl like Pyrex or Anchor Hocking.
