It is an appliance that as long as the contents are 1.5" high or LESS, produces flawless results from chicken, fish, pork, beef, sausage, sandwiches, and the proteins are done from fresh or frozen.

I currently own this particular George Forman grill......

I like that I can set the temperature setting, and the timing setting.......... I have been very happy with it for several years......NOW.......my question is........It started acting a bit off yesterday, and I thought about if I had to replace it, which model would I replace it with..... I do not need a griddle, or waffle maker, and such, so what do you recommend as a replacement, with removable grill plates that can go into the dish washer......... Any responses and ideas are greatly appreciated..... If I need the best model to fit my needs that has a griddle/waffle plate, then it does become a no issue issue, as long as I can do what I want to do........

I have the TFal OptiGrill and I love it!!! You press a button indicating which kind of meat you are cooking and it senses the thickness of the meat. When it is cooked rare it will beep, then when it is medium it will beep again and again when well done and the color on the dial changes from yellow(rare) to dark orange(well done). I have made chicken thighs and hamburgers and both turned out great. It's a little on the expensive side--I bought it at BBB with a coupon and I think it is well worth the price.

ETA--It does have removeable grill plates which can be put in the dishwasher--don't know what I did for the underlining.
