How many Whole Chicken Wings can you eat, to me thats the drumette, flat and tip!!

4 Fried, maybe more if they are baked with BBQ Sauce!!!! Love me some chicken wings.

Some restaurants call each piece a wing, so a drumette and flat are considered 2 wings to them.

I line my baking sheet pan with foil and fold the tip under on the wings. I put the chicken wings on the sheet pan and salted, peppered and garlic powdered them. I set the oven to 375*and baked them for a while,then added about 1 1/2 c of water and cooked them some more. When they were done, I poured off the chicken "juice" in a plastic freezer carton. I'll freeze it to make chicken and pastry or soup. I returned the chicken to the oven for a few minutes. I BBQ Sauced 1/2 of them and kept the rest plain.

The family value pack of 14 wings were marked $14.00, but were marked down to $7.00 because of the sell by date of 3/29/2014. I always look for marked down meat to put in the freezer.

whole wings?......4-5 usually. they are generally my favorite part of the bird, with the breast a close second. recently made some saffron chicken wings that were out of this world!

I love chicken wings, but never tried how many I actually can eat. I just ordered that microwave chicken roaster thing and when I get it, perhaps I'll make a bunch to see what my limit is (just as a treat).

Chicken wings are disgusting! When I was growing up they were not eaten. They were given to the dog. Now days they are everywhere and considered a meal.

I posted a recipe a few weeks ago or so in recipe swap after DH found a recipe for baked wings online which were really good. I made 16 total half drumette & half flat/tips. We both ate 8. I doubt I would eat more then 10. I don't like to eat until I get a stomach ache. When I eat them I spit out some of the skin as I don't really care to eat that.

From BBQ USA, these wings are absolutely wonderful! Yum! I will happily dig a path through the snow to our grill just to make these wings.

Louisville Wings

4 pounds chicken wings (about 18)
2 Tbsp. lemon pepper
2 Tbsp. sweet paprika
Coarse salt (kosher or sea) I use kosher
10 Tbsp. butter
5 cloves garlic, minced
2/3 cup Dijon mustard
2/3 cup Tabasco sauce (or your favorite hot sauce)
2/3 cup fresh lemon juice
2/3 cup bourbon
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1-1/2 cups wood chips or chunks (preferably hickory) soaked for 1 hour in water to cover, then drained

Rinse the wings under cold running water, then blot on paper towels to dry. Place in a large nonreactive bowl and toss them with the lemon pepper and about 2 tablespoons salt. Let the wings cure, covered, in the refrigerator for about an hour.

Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until the garlic is fragrant and sizzling hot, but not brown, about 3 minutes. Stir in the mustard, hot sauce, lemon juice, bourbon, brown sugar, and black pepper. Season with salt to taste. Bring the mixture to a boil and boil for 3 minutes, then let it come to room temperature. You'll use this for the marinade and the sauce.

Pour half the bourbon mixture over the wings and toss to mix. Let the wings marinate in the refrigerator, covered, for 3-4 hours. Set the remaining sauce aside.

Set up the grill for indirect heat. Place the wood chips in a smoker box.

Drain the marinade from the wings and discard the marinade. Brush and oil the grill grate. Place the wings in the center of the hot grill grate, over the drip pan and away from the heat. Cover the grill. Cook the wings until golden brown and cooked through 30-40 minutes.

During the last few minutes, move the wings, a few at a time, so that they are directly over the heat and, leaving the grill uncovered, cook until crackling crisp, 1-2 minutes. Serve at once.

Whole wings I'd say 5 or 6 but I never cook mine whole. I cut the tips off (and discard) & separate the flat & drum part. I'm picky about my wings. Other than my own, there is one local restaurant that makes killer wings! I don't get the obsession with Hooter's wings...ick. Even worse is their fried pickles!!!

Now that you mentioned it.....might have to buy some wings this weekend. Hopefully they're not $15 a pound...

Where do you live? They're 1.79 a lb. in the DC area right now. Are your wings laced in gold? Lol

I love chicken wings. I generally eat 8 segments dunked in blue cheese. I bake them on a cooling rack over a tray so they are crispy. I've never cooked them on the grill tho. When their is about 10-15 minutes left I mix equal parts of hot sauce, honey, and BBQ sauce and dunk them in and finish cooking.

4 but lately I noticed I am really full after that so 3.

I never used to like chicken wings but I make them for my mom and now I like them too.

I just cut off the tips,brush them with olive oil and lightly salt and pepper and bake them.

I don't have a sauce or anything.

It depends on the size of the wings, 3 perhaps 4. Fried or barbecue, they both work for me. But I don't have them often.

I do agree with this, as they were the "throw away" part of the chicken.........YET..........they are now more expensive than chicken breast, that I do not eat........ I do agree, that when you order chicken wings, the wings are split into 2 pieces, with the wing tip added to the flat part of the wing, and they actually sell pieces, not the whole chicken wing in the price....

I have to say that I do enjoy the Chinese chicken wings, and wish I knew what flavoring they use, but I do not like BBQ wings, but will eat wings with hot sauce, and 5, which is a general order, is more than enough for me........
