What are you finding for candy or food stocking stuffers? I'm looking for new or unusual items. Nothing costly or perishable. I usually buy some individually wrapped truffles. Bought this at Costco this week

The Little Debbie's Christmas cakes are individually wrapped which makes them good stocking stuffers. It's their 40th Anniversary

@Calibeach For decades, "Nana" has sent the grands the old school mesh Cristmas stockings. I like the ones w/the bolo bat, jacks, yo-yo, marbles & spinners in them.

I get them from the local $1 stores. Since the grands look forward to them every year, even the ADULT grand I stock up on them every 3 yrs or so.

Regarding my adult grand, at 21 yrs I stopped getting the mesh old school games thinking he was too old. I was wrong. He complained to his parents.

CVS and other drug stores always have tons of holiday treats available. Individually wrapped pieces of Lindt or Ghiradeli chocolates, small tins of mints, etc. Might be best to check your local drug store and see what suits your budget and recipient.

Edited to add hot chocolate packets.

Since you're looking for "new or unusual" -

Cracker Barrel has candy from decades past. You could also check Aldi since they have things from other countries.

I like to include a few things that are long and thin and can be used as a filler. Locally I can find at gift shops or candy stores a two pack of chocolate covered pretzel rods. Also include the long Slim Jims or small packs of beef jerky and Kind bars.

I also like the long individually wrapped Panda licorice rods. And I pass on candy canes, but do splurge on the candy cane shaped container of M&Ms, or mini Reese Cups.

When we were kids I can remember getting life saver story book that had two sides with rolls of all different flavors of life savers and boxes of Andes candys different flavors of chocolate. We got other kinds of candy in our Christmas stockings those two were stand outs. Plus we got small toys and other things in pur Christmas stockings.

Hammonds Candies Candy Cane. Not exactly inexpensive but they have a variety of flavors, are "Ornament" large and nice to look at. Especially peeking out of / hanging from, a Christmas stocking. Or tucked in the ribbons of a wrapped gift box.

Wow nice. I love when I write about when we were kids and someone writes it brought them back memories. Like this thread brought me back to when my brother had I were kids. Now in 54 and my brother Jeffery just turned 52 friday.

@Etoile308 yes, adding some long & thin items! I have an advance order of the Mrs Prindables holiday pretzels that will be stocking stuffers. I'm also going to get some Slim Jims

@Calibeach, I don't know if any of the people you're making stockings for use a Nespresso coffee maker that uses the pods, but I've included those in the past. Usually I'll try the different brands that can be found less expensively from Home Goods or Marshall's.
