Sounds like a day for me to do other things. As it is, I'm trying to downsize & am getting rid of lots of kitchen gadgets, do-dads & duplicates. For those who will be shopping, I hope they enjoy the day.

I will downsize when my youngest Son moves out. He will get a lot of new Kitchen stuff.

All day cooking does not interest me but there are a lot of good cooks on these boards so I hope they enjoy!

Sounds like a plan, Katey. I know I wouldn't have had anything when I first left home (a hundred years ago) if Mom hadn't given me some of her odds & ends. The one thing I won't part with, though, is the 2-cup Pyrex measuring cup I bought for myself then. Still have it & it's been almost 46 years!

I don't have any idea what they will be presenting, so no specific plans to buy anything at this point.

I can, however, predict one thing - There will be many complaining threads about another 24 hour event. You can especially see them in the 'Q did what' forums with the all SCREAMING thread titles brigade.

If you go to the QVC Home Page there is a Cooking On Q Preview. There are some new items but there are a lot of items that have been presented many times.

I know exactly what they will be presenting! The same items from the _____ winter and fall cooking shows!! (Fill in the blank with any year....they are all the same)

There many "new" items and brands on their website that NEVER see the light of an actual TV presentation. If they would just show a variety of items and brands from those all throughout their inventory, the shows wouldn't have gotten as stale as they have. Guarantee it will be a day of Temp-tations, Kitchenaid, Cooks Essentials, etc. You could almost put the mortgage down as a bet that they will never break out Breville, Cuisinart, etc.!!

I do enjoy watching the cookbook presentations but I can't really think of anything I need to buy on Cooking Day.

I love the All-Day cooking shows. I haven't bought anything in a million years, but I still watch. Love Laura Weathers,(sp?).

My kitchen is pretty well stocked with everything I need, much of it from the Q over the past few years. I may just keep it on in the background while doing other things. I like watching the Food Network channel on Sundays.

I did my largest and most recent downsizing when my last child recently got married. Now DH dares me to fill up the space with more kitchen items !

Besides, I'm afraid they won't show any, or enough great new items to justify watching. I may take a peek now and then, but it's usually the same old worn out items. And could we have a kitchen/cooking show just once without Temp-Tations???? It may be popular, but it takes a lot of time and is so routine, other things would be so nice. It's time they freshen up the line-up !

I just got the list this morning by email. Eh - some new stuff, but nothing really new-new as in interestingly new. Lots of the same stuff they've presented a zillion times.
