I cannot see this generation (21st century) - tech & AI rushing to retailers buying Temp-tations. At least not enough to make a profit.

They eat out, order out & in, order from the many of the prepared food companies, Uber Eats & GrubHub are they're BFF. If they do ccok, they are NOT using old fashion cooking wares. They probably do not have or use an oven. They have stove stop convection ovens, microwaves & the gadgit at the moment...air fryers. A few may have the old school cast iron frying pans for a good steak.

I do see a lot of Temp-tations and/or something similar at flea markets.

@Mz iMac I agree. I think this is Temp-tation trying to not put all their eggs into one QVC-basket. Tara stopped selling her brand on her own website not too long ago. That was a big change after selling separately on her proprietary site for quite a while -- different designs though. Now she'll be selling in small retail stores?

I beg to differ, at least in my experience. All four of my children rarely eat out, none of them eat fast food and they say Uber Eats and the like are way too expensive. They all cook most every meal.

They tell me I have the coolest kitchen gadgets. I relate it to my husband's garage tools. You may not use them often but when you need them it's great to have.

I have gifted them with many kitchen items, a few temptations but not many. They have appreciated everything. Of course, I pay close attention to their comments when they see me using a gadget.

I know there are many young adults that do benefit from food deliveries but again, my family of 70+ there just aren't that many that eat out often. They know it's more cost effective and healthier to prepare their own meals for themselves and their family.

@cjm61 I like that! Of course not everyone falls into just one category.

I have the opposite experiences than yours in my family. They can surely subsidize plenty Uber and Instacart delivery positions. It is what it is.

My son is a single 35-yr old optician who lives in NYC. He works in three of his company's many vision medical offices, and his location can be a spur of the moment change. He Uber Eats more times than he wants to, but it's out of sheer necessity. Many in my family his age, plus older and younger, do very much the same. Yes, there are quite a lot of us.

Once saving grace is he also uses Uber for transportation a lot, so he gets massive Uber Eats promotions.

There is truth that more young people use foodgrub, Homechef, Hellofresh, Ubereats and other food delivery sites whether it is modified preparation, or full on meal delivery than ever before.

Sometimes it is simply because they can't be bothered, or they are over worked, and use a food delivery rather than take time to cook. Once they have children I suspect they will prepare more food at home. But don't think all these food delivery services of which there are many are not being used.

So much for buying kitchen ware... My kids never cooked at home until they had children.

Plus I think Temptations in general has an older design aesthetic that would not appeal to younger buyers....

My grands can tell you the names of all the 5 star restaurants in their cities as well as all the hole in the wall places & their prices to boot. The only times they have a home cooked meal is when they visit the "other" grandparents who some are still having "big mama" Sunday dinners.

Otherwise, a home cooked meal at home to them is a microwave hotdog w/oven cooked or air fry french fries. I just shake my head, bite my tongue & keep my mouth shut cause I ain't cooking either.

My kids, DIL , SIL & grands always request my oxtails & my spicy lasagna which I obliged before they or I return home.

I am not a fan--don't have any. I don't like the designs or the colors---I use mostly glass to cook/bake in, along with the usual metal bake ware. I use fiestaware daily for meals or serving and can bake in it.

Temptations quality is extremely lacking- I own a few pieces and I’ve had them chip or become wobbly. I’ll stick with my anchor pieces.

I've been given a few pieces as gifts..I've had 1 crack and I had lasagna all over my oven..I hope whatever store they team up with has a great return policy.

Would not buy Temp-tations in a store. Don't care for the patterns and the one piece I did purchase was poor quality (Woodland Store and More). Glazing was missing in several spots and had a chip in the rim. It was a one and done purchase for me.
