Has anyone noticed canned goods now being packaged in Aseptic packaging? It's like the boxes they use for beef broth etc.

I noticed on Amazon Whole Foods 365 has started changing over to the aseptic packaging.

Just a heads up since canned goods last 2-5 yrs depending on acidity of foods etc. The aseptic packaging only lasts 1 to 1 1/2 yrs.

I'm sure more companies will switch since the aseptic packaging is lighter weight for shipping while aluminum keeps going up in price.

In western Europe they are the only packaging I've seen for soups, most vegetables, etc, the last 20 years. most milk about 90% comes in cartons or bottles like this. Milk in the grocery store is on the shelves. But so are the eggs.

I have not noticed any difference in the canned foods at the stores I frequent. Still a lot of them.

I buy fresh or frozen as much as possible. But do buy some canned goods. Canned usually has a lot of sodium though, so that is another reason I avoid them.

We love fresh fruit and eat it daily. My last fasting blood sugar was 80, so no issue for me. I also love a nice tossed veggie salad.

Sugar can't be what causes it or I would already be diabetic IMO.

DH makes all our bread.
