Tea Recommendations

I just saw a new (to me at least) USA company, Oliver Pluff, out of Charleston S.C. They have teas and coffee and such, USA owned and at least some teas from USA I think.

Anyway I have not tried them but will. So are any of you familiar with them? Then and Elmwood Teas are two USA tea suppliers--I know Elmwood Teas really know teas and sell good products, so wondering about this new company.

I am not familiar Oliver Puff. One company I order from is Republic of Tea. They sell loose leave and tea bags. I only have purchased the tea bags. Everyone I have tried is really good. Just recently got the Earl Gray Orange Marmalade. When they send out a catalog they include a free sample of a tea bag. That is how I tried the Earl Gray.

I love the tea from Tea Forte (dot com). Their unique shape for the bags is always a welcome surprise when I gift them to friends/family. They also have loose tea. You can mix and match the flavors you want. They usually have around 75 different flavors available.

@World Traveler It's great! And they often have 20 percent off too. I love all but one I've tried--black, white, green and even herbal without rooibos. And I like their handled mugs.

@Sooner I love the top of the cup that has a tiny hole to pull the "leaf" thru while steeping. So cute! My favorite teas are the herbal ones.

It's not about the shape of the tea bag it's about what the tea bag is made of. Many are made with micro & nano plastics. Better to use brands that use plastic-free tea bags.

@ahoymate Plastics or sometimes cane suguar or beet sugar. I switched to loose leaf tea with non-dyed paper tea bags.

They also have stainless infusers. No bags needed!

I have used The Republic of Tea, and The Tea and Spice Exchange. The former has tea rounds (not your typical tea bags), sent samples when I asked for the catalogue, and do sell sampler packs for seasonal tea, like Autumn and Holiday. I still have some and love the large selection of flavours. If you like loose tea, the second is a good choice, but I used them for their spices.

My absolute favorite tea is English Breakfast from Taylor's of Harrogate. There's also a Decaf Breakfast Tea that's equally good.

@vaberry I must have at least 8 cans of Republic of Tea. My favorites are Honey Ginseng and Ginger Peach...both either hot or over ice.
