Le Creuset lovers

Today's New York Times has an article on Le Creuset collectors. I wish I could post it - the photos are gorgeous.

Some collectors have hundreds and even thousands of pieces. And if you are wondering how does one safely store such heavy cookware, the answer is industrial shelving bolted to the walls. Doesn't everyone do this?

NYT article brought back memory of my first le creuset pan set (5 saucepans in a wooden rack; dark brown pans purchased at Canadian exchange in Baden Baden Germany).

For my first mother's day, 55 years ago, my husband bought me a complete set of LeCreuset in Flame.

I've used that cookware for years until they became too heavy for me as I've gotten older.

I just gifted the whole set to my granddaughter who recently moved into her own apartment after college graduation.

She was thrilled!

I enjoy my Le Creuset but I do not have bolted industrial shelving. I also don't have that many pieces. I may look up the article!
