Now I have to decide what I can put in the ones I have. It's too late to return them.

I recently bought the set of 4 tall pantry canisters with handles for my flours, sugar, and rice. I thought they would be airtight. They're not because of the lift-up lids, which are not sealed.

Can anyone recommend a set similar to these that are truly airtight? TIA!

I have a set similar to this that I have used for years for flour, sugar, etc. I checked the measurements of the large container. My container is 193oz. and this one is 192oz., so it should easily hold a 5-lb. bag of flour.

https://www.qvc.com/locknlock-8-pc-nestable-square-canister-storage-set-w-%282%29-handle-lids.product.K98776.html?sc=NAVLIST

OXO Good Grips has airtight containers - the ones I use don't have handles though. But I was able to put flour in one and store it in the freezer for several months without any adverse effects.

One container holds saltines exactly, some long ones hold pasta really well.

My flour bag is stored sideways to fit so I've worked with the ones I've had.

Hope you find a set. The regular locknlock work well.

I got some with the little lids, for dry cereal, and rapidly discovered that when they are dropped they spill. Tossed them.

I tell my grands that adults are just people who have found many ways to mess up.

@beach-mom - I'm not sure if you need a full set, but if you are just looking for great LocknLock containers for your flour and sugar, there was a thread on this topic about two months ago with some good suggestions:

https://community.qvc.com/t5/Kitchen/LOCK-N-LOCK-QUESTION/m-p/8709823#M289906

I commented there about the specific containers I use, which I purchased individually on Amazon to get just what I needed. Good luck!

I've been using a set of Lock'n'Lock cannisters to store flour and sugar but I've also concluded that they're not airtight.

Stored brown sugar in one and it dried out pretty fast.
