Kroger Private Selections Bread

This is their store brand. Anybody buy this bread? I'm particularly fond of the Honey Oat. However, the entire section of PS bread has been empty for a few weeks now. I asked at checkout since nobody was manning the CS desk, and they were pretty much clueless. I was wondering if they're discontinuing the entire line of bread? I have hope that it's a temporary thing since that section of shelves is still there, though empty.

Guess it depends on the store. Our local Fry's (Kroger) has this bread in stock all the time.

We dont have Kroger here in MD, but I shop online all the time at Vitacost owned by Kroger, and they offer quite a lot of PS items which are high quality, but nothing packaged fresh like bread.

I always purchase the Private Selections Sourdough Loaf to have with lasagna or spaghetti. I slice it, slather with butter, wrap in foil and heat it up. We have Ralph's and Von's here.

we don't shop at kroger stores and bread isn't very high on our list of groceries we make our own bread in our bread maker on occasion

I buy my homemade delicious bread, made daily, at my local Amish store. So good.

@Icegoddess There are no Krogers markets in my area (NJ) but I hate it when a favorite item disappears. I don't know where you live, but are there other Krogers nearby that you could go to?

I buy that brand alot--haven't noticed any empty shelves tho. My new fave is Private Selections pasta sauce--I go to QFC and Fred Meyer --both have that brand, to shop online.

@PinkyPetuniaThere is another Kroger fairly close, but it's not as convenient as this one which is almost back to back with the Publix I go to. I mostly shop at Publix, but go to Kroger for a few things Publix doesn't carry. It's almost down to bread now as manufacturers discontinue items or Kroger stops carrying them. The few times I have gone to the other Kroger looking for something the closest one doesn't have, I have not been successful.

@Icegoddess I shop at Kroger's and many times they are out of products. I looked on their website and they still carry this bread. I have learned to be patient with Kroger. I am sure it will be back in stock.

I buy only the 12 Grain bread. It's my favorite.

I like their sourdough bread. My favorite sourdough comes from Aldi. It is the best.
