@loriqvc Wow. 20! I've previously purchased two, one is plain, and I purchased two of the prints. One for a gift. I have a red and a poinsettia and purchased the village for my sister. The prints were 19.98, and I think my original red was 22.00. I know I got all three on free shipping. I agree a really great price for 16.98.

I have four of these. I use them for everything. They're great. They are especially wonderful for taking food to potlucks.

@Carmie : Totally agree. I bake a small round pound cake that fits perfectly. For me, this is wonderful for cupcakes, cookies, lunch meat and cheese tray. My go to item for a gift for anyone.

I have 2 of these and use them for a lot of things besides pies. I've found that it doesn't work very well for my extra large, double crust pies because the crimped edges of the pie crust get knocked off.

HOWEVER, I recently got K93870, LnL Round Cake Carrier with Handle Lid. It's not included in the Black Friday sale, but the shipping is free. The price is $27 and it's 14 1/4" round and 6 3/4" deep. My double crust, deep dish apple pie fits in it with plenty of room to spare. It holds tall cakes, too.

If most of the pies you make are a standard size, go for the discounted pie carrier (it really is a great deal), but if you make larger/deeper pies, try the cake carrier. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

@lynnie61 - Most of the purchases were for gifts after I discovered how great this carrier was, but I admit to having six; I just kept justifying the need for specific colors when it would go on sale, and I do use them often. The carriers with the prints are much smaller—I purchased the pumpkin version last year but ended up returning it because I knew I just wouldn't use it as much as my giant Fiesta Orange version.

@quilter61 - It depends on your cake; here are the interior dimensions of the carrier: DIAMETER = 11 5/8" without the insert; 10 5/8" with the insert; HEIGHT = 3 5/8" without the insert; 3 1/4" with the insert (plus about 1 1/2" extra height with the lid since there is a section where the handle nests lower than the tallest point of the dome). Many standard Bundt cakes will fit just fine with that 3 1/4" plus the extra inch or so, but I might recommend the cake carrier instead because it is considerably taller. Unfortunately, it isn't currently on sale; if you don't need it right away, there are various sales on LocknLock just about every month:

I just received the two I ordered. One is in perfect shape but one has a lid so tight I can’t get it off. Does anyone have any tips on how to pry the lid open? I really would like to avoid the hassle of returning it and can’t exchange because they are sold out. Any help would be appreciated. It would be nice to have two functioning pie carriers. Sigh.
