Looking for Melamine

I'm looking for solid red or green melamine dinner plates.

I have Longaberger holiday pottery (see below), but I want something that won't break if it's dropped. I have Valerie's blue melamine. I originally got it for the summer holidays, but we use it year round.

Last year I bought a set of melamine lunch holiday plates that have a cute pattern on them. I want dinner plates, but in that pattern it would be too much.

I have looked, but haven't had much luck. Can anyone help?

@beach-mom - There is a brand called Certified International that makes good-quality melamine dishes; you can find it online at Amazon, Target, and Walmart, as well as here at QVC from time to time. You'll probably want to do some price comparing because rates can vary quite a bit depending on sellers and available deals/sales. I just checked Amazon and saw a nice-looking set of plain red CI dishes there plus a fun set of Buffalo Check with red and black, in case that catches your fancy.

If you happen to decide you want a set in white, earlier this year I bought a bunch of very nice pieces on Amazon from a seller/brand called Koxin-Karlu, including regular bowls, serving bowls, and plates. (I'd recommend them for your holiday table as well, but it seems they only offer plain white or a multicolor option.)

Amazon sells melamine dishes in sets of red or Christmas melamine dishes for really good prices.

@beach-mom Some cute Christmas ones on Amazon, 10 dinner size for$15. Holly trimmed.

I got several melamine Christmas dessert plates at our local grocery store last year after Christmas. I think they were .50 or .75 each. I bought every one!

Kohls also has some St. Nicholas square sets. Good luck.

One more note: Target often has a great selection of individual holiday and everyday melamine dishes at nice prices, so perhaps you could buy a bunch of them and make your own set.

I searched for "holiday patterns in melamine" and there was a bunch of choices similar to the holly pattern in your photo. Hope you can find something.

I think these would be a nice compliment pattern/color for your Longaberger. Amazon has these on a BF deal. They look festive and don't scream 'Christmas' so you can use them most all yearlong.
