Ninja Crispi

My husband watch an informercial on the this and seemed to like it. I went to their website and watched the videos and ordered it. It only took 4 days to arrive. It's an air fryer that is small and is simply wonderful. Easy to clean and store. The top portion can be a bit heavy but not bad. My food cooked up beautifully. For once my fries tasted like fries. It's sold out almost everywhere (Amazon has it but last time I checked it was 1-3 weeks delay) but I was on a waiting list at Ninja and got one shortly after the email was sent.

I'm glad you're happy with it, @Meowingkitty. My initial impression was that it reminded me of the NuWave Oven from once upon a time. I'm a big fan of Ninja appliances, we have several in our kitchen. If one ever goes kaput, I'd probably get the same item again. We've gifted Ninja appliances too.

I was hoping the Q would have it as a TSV. I really thought they would have had it for their last Ninja TSV but instead they had their double-stack air-fryer. I was disappointed.

I had never heard of this,why is it any better than their other air fryers?

If I didn't already have the grill with the air fryer I would have gotten it. Love our Ninja so much. The air fryer is the best. Enjoy your new toy.

I think it's pretty much in short supply and still pretty new. Ninja has a wait list for a couple of colors and most stores like Target, Best Buy, Walmart etc all have it sold out so I can't imagine there's enough for a TSV.

It's smaller, has glass bowls so you can see what's going on, easy to clean, small footprint, 2 bowls, one for smaller groups and one for larger orders plus everything stacks together.

@Meowingkitty, thank you for posting about. I was wondering if it was worth getting. And I also hoped it would have been the last TSV.

I think I'll just wait until someplace like Costco eventually carries it. I don't care so much about colors.

I have two concerns about the Crispi. One is obviously breaking the glass bowls. The second one is you need some place to put the top when you go to empty the bowl. My drawer-type air fryer I can just pull out the drawer and dump everything out and slide the drawer back in. I don't have to touch anything that's hot. With the Crispi I'd have to find someplace to set the top down, and it's pretty big, then empty it out. And the rack may/could fall out while you're dumping the food out. Then put the bowl and rack in the sink to wash it out.

I'm not sure how it could be a lot better than a "normal" air fryer. It would be nice to see the food as it's cooking, but many "normal" air fryers now have viewing windows. I don't know. I don't trust myself enough not to break the glass bowls. And there are a lot of pieces to the Crispi that you have to figure out a place to store. Two bowls, two bowl covers, racks for each sized bowl, adapter for the bowls. There's a lot of "stuff" that goes with it.

I may get a new air fryer with a baking feature and window in the coming weeks/months, but I don't trust myself not to drop the bowls of the Crispi. Broken glass isn't fun, four hundred-degree broken glass is even less fun. I'm pretty sure I won't be getting the Crispi. It's great if you like it, but the risks outweigh any likely reward for me.

@Meowingkitty I have never heard of this one before but Googled it and it looks very nice! I like that it's basically two glass bowls with a top (motor) piece that takes up little room and looks easy to store.

The one thing that I don't like about most of the air fryers is that the way they are designed it seems like it's just easy to keep on the counter. I have more than enough on my counters right now and would prefer something that's easy to store & take out.

I'm going to keep an eye out for it in the future since it's in short supply right now. (Not to mention that I have gotten most of my holiday shopping done and have spent plenty right now)

Maybe the Q will offer this as a TSV next year.

I looked to see what the Ninja Crispi looked like.

My sister had one of these (looked just like) about 25 years ago. Hers was a bit larger though and I don't remember the brand. She loved it!

So I may buy the new Ninja Crispi once stores get back in stock.

I had a similar product from several years ago . Brother in law purchased special with they had a two bundle purchase. Back then had a much smaller kitchen and less counter space. The product was huge and heavy and not easily to clean. I had issue where to place the top and not get burned. Food cooked not that great. I tried to give it to friends and finally sent to donation center.
