Every month or so I get a container of cottage cheese to eat .... haven't had it in years, but am really enjoying re-discovering this simple little protein snack.

I usually alternate my purchases between the cottage cheese with chives, and the one with pineapple. Love them both.

Question --- I noticed that the plain CC comes in Large Curd and Small Curd. What's the difference?

Obviously, there must be a massive amount of people who have a preference. Manufacturing two foods that taste exactly alike ... except for curd size .... must be very costly!

So ... do Large Curd and Small Curd have a flavor difference? Or are they the exact same thing?

What's your take on this?

I usually buy the large curd, as the small curd seems drier to me. I usually get cc with pineapple. I have used the whipped cottage cheese in the place of cream cheese and it's really good sprinkled with a little cinnamon on whole grain bread.

I buy cottage cheese as a snack for my husband and eat a small bowl occasionally since I don't drink milk or eat much cheese. We eat both and have no preference; I buy whatever is in stock which is usually small curd. IGA rarely has both.

I love cottage cheese and eat it several times per week. The difference between small and large curd is obvious ==> the size. It's a personal preference what one likes. I only buy the 1% milkfat as I don't like a lot of fat and prefer the Publix house brand. I've had fruit and chives, but prefer plain.

This question brought back memories ! No I don't eat cottage cheese anymore. As a little girl I remember my grandmother and my mom loved cottage cheese with peaches mixed in with it. I'm 74 so you know that was a long time ago ! I remember eating it back then but stopped as I got older because I really wasn't very fond of it.

Yes, I occasionally eat cottage cheese. I like the large curd full fat variety. It's good by itself and with fruit.

I had some last evening. I don't drink or use milk or cream, but I eat cottage cheese.

Ricotta cheese is even better. Yumm.

I do buy it weekly and my preference is full fat and large curd. Full fat has fewer carbs. Same with whole milk vs skim milk.

I do like it with chives but I usually do my own add ins.

Most folk like it with pineapple. It's OK. I don't like to hear how it's made. (Yuk) I don't eat it very often. Just once in a great while. Though it's quite good for you.

I have been going through a phase of eating cottage cheese lately. I buy mine plain but try to get organic. I prefer small curd but get what is avialable which is usually large curd. I think they taste the same.

I will often add a banana, some walnuts and to sweeten I will add a bit of monk fruit (it's a sweetener that I get packets of like sugar but it's not artificial).
