I mostly use it for finely chopping celery, onion, carrots, and garlic. I don't like my soups with large pieces or chunks of ingredients floating around in the soup.It does a greyt job.

But, I am wanting to branch out of my rut and wonder what you are also using it for.

Thank you for any info.

I use my FP every day. I make large vats of salad so I chop and slice cucumbers, carrots, green peppers, mushrooms, onions, radishes and celery. I shred zuchinni for making breads and muffins.

I shred hard cheese...I never buy pre shredded. I make pie dough and dumpling dough, salad dressing, chop nuts, and slice fruit, slice potatoes and mine has a French fry disc to julienne potatoes. I also make bread crumbs and streusel topping and pesto.

I chop eggs, chicken, ham and turkey for making meat salads. In fact, I add all the ingredients together and chop away.

It's great for making salsa too. I am sure there is much more. I wouldn't be without one.

A couple years ago I bought the Kitchenaid 13 cup food processor on QVC MAINLY because it had a dicing kit. I have a large garden and produce a lot of veg that I store away - some frozen, some freeze dried and some canned. I can't imagine going back to knife dicing carrots, beets, potatoes and even chuck roast for soups. With that dicing kit its is so quick and easy - takes all the drudgery out of the preparation piece. I also use the processor for slicing cabbage for cole slaw, cheese, ham. Also it's great for kneading bread and making pizza dough. Cme with dicing kit and 5 different blades. This thing does everything, I also bought off KA site the companion KitchenAid cordless 5 Cup Food Chopper 2 speed with whisk accessory disk KFCB519BM. It has the drizzle feature which is great for dressings and that whisk disk is super for making home-made mayo, making small batch whipped cream. Both are fantastic and I can wholly recommend. Usually when QVC drops products from their inventory they are still available on KA site. I know the 5 cup food chopper is on Amazon for $99 and 13 cup processor is on sale KA site $249 model KFP1319BM in blk, silver, red and white. Both are spendy but I've never enjoyed using appliance like these. KA always makes a superior product - both mine are going strong now 3 yrs later.

And is now available "As Is" on QVC for $169 in 3 installments of $56.33

- what a bargain. I ouldn't shy away from the "As Is" product I'm sure this was a demo model on stage set.

K63524

KitchenAid 13-Cup Food Processor Plus with Dicing Kit

Matte Black
