I miss the days when an enameled cast iron pan on QVC & HSN sold for under $100. Will QVC ever revive their cast iron brand?

The under $100.00 is made in China. If you want cookware made in USA or France (Le Creuset) you will be paying much more. If you find any enamelled cast iron under $100.00, it is made in China. My Dutch oven from Lodge was, and it has lasted quite a long time. Sometimes Amazon has sales on Le Creuset and Staub.

For what it's worth, the line was actually called Technique (no "s" at the end). I still have many pieces going strong, including an enameled cast iron Dutch oven that I bought in 2010.

The problem with making a LC purchase at Marshalls/TJM/Homegoods, is that sometimes the pieces don't get through the entire glazing process before they are dumped there. If they fail inspection before they are done being processed (but processed enought to be usable) they can be sent off to those stores. You really have to inspect the pieces carefully, and frankly, the prices are not all that great for a sub par piece. The LC website often has great clearance prices on first quality items.
