Have never tasted sardines----supposed to be very good for you--my Swedish dad used to go get kipper snacks during Xmas time and cook scrambled eggs using them---I loved that. I would try your salad tho.

I cannot stand to eat sardines but I can eat canned salmon, Starkist wild pink salmon. I take it out and brown it in a pan until it's sort of crispy on the outside.

I only buy King Oscar. I prefer them packed in water, but I do have some in oil. I wouldn't like a spicy oil. They are packed in Poland and are wild caught. The tin doesn't state wher theyare caught.

I have only eaten them on saltine crackers, but I would like to try something different. They are a good source of protein and Omega 3s. I don't eat quinoa but I know that's another healthy food item. I eat the sardines for lunch with either Sprouts multigrain crackers or put them in a salad. I've loved them since I was a kid.
